- Well, we’ve had another weekend of shootings across Chicago. Five have been killed and 25 wounded since Friday night. [Sun-Times]
- Illinois State Police confirm a pedestrian walking along the Stevenson Expressway near Plainfield was struck and killed by a truck early Sunday. [Sun-Times]
- Twenty-year-old Nawal Aysheh was shot and killed in the Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest side in what was believed to be a domestic-related incident. [Tribune]
- Anthony Pauls, a University of Illinois student from Lake in the Hills, was killed in a hit and run in Urbana overnight. [CBS Chicago]
- Police arrested 37-year-old Alejandro Escobar for running over two men outside a River North nightclub last weekend because they laughed at the woman he was with. [Tribune]
