We're looking at a plunge in the temperature of nearly 30 degrees between today and tomorrow, so we're trying to acclimate ourselves to wearing jeans after a few days of shorts and t-shirts weather.

Leave it to Tom Skilling to be forward thinking and sound the call for (non) alarm. (After all, it is in his job description.) Skilling's extended forecast calls for the first 40 degree highs in the Chicago area since April and possibly some snowflakes by Tuesday, courtesy of moisture spinning westward from the Atlantic that will settle over the eastern part of the country.

Of course it could wind up being some very cold rain. Either way, Tuesday is shaping up to be a day to break out the galoshes.
