Last-Minute Plans: Flesh For Food Pop-Up Dinner At Maria's

By Chuck Sudo in Food on Nov 28, 2012 9:30PM

Underground bacon maker Flesh for Food is a ubiquitous presence at food events around town, notably Chef Won Kim’s “Brew Ha-Ha!” series of events. Today they’re the subject of a story on the newly launched (and worth bookmarking) DNAInfo Chicago that details their business and the city regulations they’re skirting.

The folks at Flesh for Food have been hosting pop-up dinners at Maria’s Packaged Goods and Community Bar Wednesdays in November and they’re closing out the series with a bang starting at 5 p.m. this evening. They’ll be serving $8 bowls of roast pork, polenta and pan gravy. Drew, the man behind Flesh for Food, is an accomplished chef with stints at Lula CafĂ©, The Southern, and Longman & Eagle, so he knows how to cook. If you’re around 31st and Morgan this evening, get this dinner while you can.
