Musician and record store employee, Cameron McGill

Re-Vinylized is a short documentary by filmmaker John Boston. It uses the Chicago music scene, visiting independent record stores around the city and the folks that run them, to profile the current state of existence of all record stores. Unsurprisingly the film is populated by a diverse and intriguing cast of characters, and the story it tells will pull you in right away. Delve into the heart of a dying industry and learn why it's important to keep it alive. Record stores aren't just about selling records, in the end. They're about creating a true bond through music and community. Bookmark this page if you don't have the time right now, but we strongly recommend you watch the whole 30-minute short below. It's pretty great.
