Chicago-based DJ Joseph C.R. Vourteque is something of a dual citizen of New York City and Chicago. The comparisons between the two cities never end, despite each place's obviously unique advantages. If we must compare the two, this map can help. Vourteque writes:

Being from both New York and Chicago people often ask you to compare the two cities and their neighborhoods. To make it easier for everyone I've created this handy, simple map to outline such a comparison.

To get more specific, the Magnificent Mile is like Fifth Avenue. What would be our Times Square? We're assuming the North Shore is equivalent to Long Island, while Indiana is our New Jersey. Then again, it'd be unfair to compare the douchebag-free, scenic Indiana Dunes to the Jersey Shore. Wisconsin is too delicious and friendly to be Connecticut, but Springfield is definitely comparable to Albany.
