It’s no secret that Brooklyn's Sixpoint Brewery has won over plenty of Chicago beer drinkers. What seems to be a bigger secret is the well crafted, farm-to-table food at Irving Park's Bread & Wine. This marriage of good beer and thoughtful food pairings is a great opportunity to see what Bread & Wine has to offer the Chicago food scene.

On Thursday, Jan. 24, Chef Curtis Gamble plans to serve four Sixpoint beers with four courses, previewed below. Bread & Wine opens for regular dinner service before and after the 20 seat beer dinner, and in order to give people the opportunity to taste Sixpoint’s offerings and learn more about the beers, they will hold a public tasting from 6-7p.m.

Tickets to the beer dinner are $50, tip and tax not included. The dinner, along with pairings, begins at 7p.m.

Here is what to expect:

1st Course
Assorted house cured meats, sausages and terrines with pickles, mustard and crusty bread
Paired with Pacifica, made with a rare New Zealand single hop

2nd Course
Poached chicken breast, crispy chicken skin cracklins, plum, hot sauce tapioca
Paired with Sweet Action, a hybrid beer with elements of cream ale, wheat ale & pale ale

3rd Course
Corned beef shank and rye tortellini, smoked swiss crisp, stadium mustard, natural jus
Paired with Righteous Ale, a rye ale brewed with three different malts

4th Course
Coriander vanilla custard, cream soda meringue, sour apple, gingersnap tuile
Paired with Resin, an imperial IPA balanced with tropical fruit
