2013_1_Teith.jpg Remember back when Teith broke up before even putting out a debut album, and it felt like the world was crumbling around us. We had questions—Was it our fault? Do you still love each other? If we promise to behave will you get back together? Well, the experimental four-piece (comprised of Pelican’s Trevor de Brauw, Joshua Grubman, Lisa Shelley, and Billy Baumann) have finally finished their long-delayed debut album and are releasing it next week.

The new LP, Humboldt Park, is a collection of recorded city noises and warm soundscapes, and it’s set for release January 29 and limited to 100 copies; however, you can hear the album in its entirety this Saturday afternoon, when Teith throws a free album release listening party at the Empty Bottle. Oh, and we’ve got an special premiere of “Build Me a Tower and Give Me a Gun” off the forthcoming album. Take a listen:

Teith’s LP listening party is Saturday, January 26 at the Empty Bottle, 1035 N Western, 2 p.m., free, 21+
