Fall Out Boy surprised everyone with a new tune and music video for "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)," the band's first single since 2009. They also announced their new album Save Rock And Roll will come out May 6.

From the band's website:

when we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. its why we started fall out boy in the first place. this isn't a reunion because we never broke up. we needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.

the future of fall out boy starts now.

save rock and roll...

The band performs tonight at Subterranean, but if you don't already have tickets, you're out of luck. They went on sale at 9 a.m. and sold out fast. You'll have to wait until May, when Fall Out Boy kicks off their tour, making a stop in Chicago at the Riviera Theatre on May 16.

The Chicago natives reportedly filmed their new music video at the former location of Comiskey Park with a bonfire reminiscent of the Disco Demolition.
