Benefit Fundraiser

When she isn't organizing Soup & Bread events across the area or writing for a myriad of local outlets, Martha Bayne also wears various hats for the amazing Theater Oobleck, whose current run of Mickle Maher's There is a Happiness That Morning Is — part of the ensemble's 25th anniversary season — is playing to rave reviews. The Feb. 28 performance of the play will also serve as a benefit for Soup & Bread. Bayne and her partner-in-soup Sheila Sachs will be on hand to sell copies of the Soup & Bread cookbook and answer any questions about the series. Half of the box office take for the evening will benefit Soup & Bread.

Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave., 8 p.m.
