Vince Vaughn will be holding on to his Palmolive Building penthouse apartment a while longer. The actor and man about town has pulled the condo from the market after listing it last year to sell at $18.4 million.

According to Chicago Real Estate Daily, Vaughn cut the selling price to $16.8 million and, prior to listing the condo, put it up it in a private offering for $24.7 million. The 12,000 square foot space has five bedrooms, a billiards room, a screening room, a kitchen, panoramic views of the city and the original, restored office Hugh Hefner used when Playboy magazine was headquartered in the building. He paid $12 million for it in 2006.

It's unknown why Vaughn pulled the condo from the market, but high-end real estate sales in 2012 were at their highest levels since 2008 and Koenig & Strey broker Mary Bennett, who specializes in high-end listings, told Chicago Real Estate Daily most larger sales like Vaughn's condo rarely happen through a listing agent.
