Man Violates Restraining Order By Sending 18 Pizzas To Estranged Wife

A suburban man faces felony charges of stalking after he placed pizza orders in his estranged wife's name at four different pizza places.

The wife had received an order of protection last year against Bryant Smith, 47. She alerted police when she started receiving confirmation calls and emails from pizzerias for the 18 pizzas. Police traced the orders to Smith's computer.

Records show Smith spent 120 days in jail last year for violating an order of protection when he made harassing phone calls to his wife.

There are also other pending charges against him, alleging he slashed his wife's tires in December.

The Tribune writes:

During his bond hearing, Smith uttered the word “bitch” and spit on the floor while McCarthy was reading charges against him, prompting the judge, Jill Cerone-Marisie, to admonish him.

Class act.
