Pencil This In: Soup & Bread At Hideout; Parlour Car At Bar DeVille

By Chuck Sudo in Food on Mar 5, 2013 6:20PM

Soup and Bread

This week's installment of Soup & Bread at Hideout March 6 features a Murderers' Row of guests: Edzo's Burger Shop's Eddie Lakin, Drew from Flesh for Food, Roots & Culture's Eric May, DNAInfo Chicago's Ted Cox, Sree Nair, Nancy Baumel, and Perry Kim. This week's theme is "The Ground" — soups from the subterranean world. Breads, as always, are donated by La Farine and Publican Quality Meats. (1354 W. Wabansia, 5:30 p.m., pay as you can.)

Comedy

Adam Burke, Matty Ryan, and Kenny DeForest host Parlour Car, a free weekly comedy showcase at Bar DeVille every Thursday pairing "top notch comedy with top notch booze." That's followed by Bar DeVille's weekly dance party. (701 N. Damen, 8 p.m., free)
