You aren't going to let something as simple as a winter storm warning stop you from getting about the business of the day, especially since we haven't seen the worst of it yet. That will start by lunch. The latest amended snowfall projections from Skilling Central have us expecting between 6-8 inches of snow in the city to 12 inches in the south suburbs before this is over. With winds gusting up to 40 mph, we're going to see some drifting snow tonight along with a high near freezing. If you're flying out of town, check with the airlines you're booked with: More than 900 flights have been canceled at O'Hare and Midway airports already. Grab a cocoa on your way to work and enjoy.
