On March 15, Chicago's Spiteful Brewing and 18th Street Brewery from Gary, Indiana are teaming up for a collaborative beer dinner at 2 Sparrows.

The restaurant hosts regular beer dinners that focus on Midwestern brews, and the menu for this one, designed by sous chef Emily Cook, sounds fabulous. It starts with an amuse bouche served with 18th Street Blackberry Belgian Saison, the first course is an early spring salad with porcini, fingerling potatoes, baby carrots, and candy-striped beets that's served with 18th Street Single-Single Pale Ale, the second course is crab cakes with 18th Street Sinister Double IPA, the third course is pork arista with celery root Lyonnaise and raisin mustard served with Spiteful Brewing Burning Bridges Brown Ale, and the fourth course is chocolate zucchini cake with hazelnut butter and cherry crème anglaise served with Spiteful Brewing G.F.Y. Stout.

The dinner starts at 7 p.m. and is $55 per person. Make a reservation by calling (773) 234-2320.
