CSN's Kendall Gill Pulled From Bulls Broadcast After Fight With Analyst

Comcast SportsNet Bulls analyst Kendall Gill has been pulled from tonight's pre-and post-game shows after he was allegedly involved in "a physical altercation" with Big Ten Network analyst Tim Doyle.

The Tribune has the details:

According to sources, Gill confronted Doyle in the CSN newsroom after the taping because of critical comments made by Doyle regarding Gill’s assessment of Monday night’s Bulls-Denver game. A controversial call by the officials wiped out a potential game-winning basket by Joakim Noah in overtime. Gill had referred to the decision by the officials as “a very bad call.”

According to the Trib and Crain's Danny Ecker, Gill threw a punch that drew blood. Neither Gill, Doyle nor executives at CSN are talking and, for all we know, Gill and Doyle are still Facebook and Twitter buds. Gill was a standout for the University of Illinois' "Flying Illini" 1989 Final Four squad and had a lengthy NBA career that included a short stint with the Bulls. Doyle played college ball at Northwestern from 2004 through 2007 and joined the Big Ten Network as an analyst shortly after.
