We thought we'd already seen the best April Fools' Day joke of 2013 at around 8:30 this morning, when we read Mike Sula's piece on Beer Can pigeon. But the day was just getting started. Here are a couple of our favorites.

Malort got into the sprit of the day when they announced their newest product: Malort-infused Wine Coolers. "Just in time for Summer," they tweeted, along with a picture of the four flavors. If you ever wanted your malort to be neon-colored, this is the product for you. Sadly (or maybe not so sadly) if this was a real thing, we can imagine a huge audience for it.

In a slightly more insider piece of humor,Mike Gebert at Sky Full of Bacon released this important bit of breaking news: The Butcher & Larder was partnering with the infamous Landon twins. You may remember the Landon twins from their Time Out feature last year - they are pretty much everything we dislike in the world, rolled up in two men. Now, they've paired up with Rob and Allie Levitt. Imagine the Butcher & Larder . . . with a DJ booth.

Says Rob Levitt, “We are totally, one thousand percent devoted to giving you the most awesome meat service imaginable, including curated sausage flights and private roasted offal salons. At the same time, I’m tired of cutting meat all day and looking forward to being able to balance that with the all-night party that Alli and I dreamed of our shop being from the moment we opened it.”
