2013_4_1_Pastry.png Three weeks ago, we urged you to vote for your local heros in Food and Wine Magazine's "People's Best New Chef" competition. Now the pastry nominees have been announced, and it's time to get back to your tasty advocacy work.

A good group of Chicago pastry chefs are nominated for the award, and they need your help! Our hometown nominees include Meg Galus (NoMI Kitchen), Jennifer Jones (Topolobampo), Sarah Jordan (Boka), Leigh Omilinsky (Cafe des Architectes), Anna Shovers (The Publican) and Katie Wyer (Telegraph). We're not quite sure how we're going to pick who to vote for, but it will definitely involve eating a lot of sugar.

Voting started this morning and ends on April 8. Get to it!
