Extra Extra: Man Fatally Shot Outside South Side Elementary School

  • A 28-year-old man was fatally shot in the chest outside of James Madison Elementary School in the South Shore neighborhood around 8:30 a.m. Reports say schoolchildren were not near the scene when it happened, but the campus was put on a 20-minute lockdown.
