Not two months after the band first gave listeners a taste of their moody sophomore effort, comes the release party for Implodes' Recurring Dream at the Empty Bottle tonight. Supporting the Chicago-based quartet for this free Monday night show are Acteurs and Population, respectively.

The former is the new project from White/Light's Jeremy Lemos and Disappears' Brian Case, which should speak for its excellent self; the latter is a darkwave quintet who've released material on BLVD records.

More recently,as of last month, the Pilsen-based group 7-inch EP on Hozac records the release of which they'll be celebrating at tonight's show too.

As for Implodes, their second album for Kranky, the moody, beautifully psychedelic Recurring Dream, gets better with each subsequent listen due to its subtle sonic complexities. Read our initial thoughts here. As The Empty Bottle web page says itself, this free show will be one for the ages. Don't miss it.
