Weekend Blotter: Two Killed, 13 Wounded In Weekend Violence

  • At least two people were killed and 13 were wounded in weekend violence citywide.

  • A 14-year-old boy was shot multiple times and killed in the Pilsen neighborhood on Sunday afternoon. Police say they are questioning three "documented gang members" in the killing of Michael Orozco.

  • A 27-year-old man was stabbed to death in a domestic incident in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood. A woman is in custody, but no charges have been filed.

  • Three people were wounded in separate shootings on the South and West sides within 90 minutes on Saturday afternoon. A 25-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded in Englewood. An 18-year-old man was shot in the leg in Austin around 4:02 p.m., and at 5:06, a man was shot and seriously wounded also in the Austin neighborhood.

  • Overnight Saturday, a 22-year-old man was shot and critically wounded in the Gage Park neighborhood, and a 17-year-old boy was shot and seriously wounded in the Chatham neighborhood.

  • A car crashed into a home in the Humboldt Park neighborhood early Monday morning.
