Boxing

The 2013 Chicago Golden Gloves Boxing Championships have moved to a new location — Cicero Stadium. With former champs including Joe Louis, Cassius Clay and Sonny Liston, its history is draped in gold. The finals commence April 11 and run through April 13, with all proceeds raised supporting the Chicago Park District, struggling local boxing gyms and scholarship programs. Buy tickets here.(1909 S. Laramie Ave., Cicero)

Film

The 1953 film The Bigamist centers on a couple (Fontaine and Edmund O'Brien) seeking to adopt a child. An investigation into the couple by the adoption agent (Edmund Gwenn) reveals the O'Brien's character is also married to Phyllis (Ida Lupino) which has produced a child. Lupino directed the film from a script by ex-husband Collier Young who was married to Fontaine at the time. The Bigamist screens tonight as part of the Northwest Chicago Film Society's spring schedule in a restored 35mm print from the UCLA Film Archives. (4050 N. Milwaukee Ave., 7:30 p.m., $5.)
