Bridgeport Coffee Company Opening A South Loop Store

One of the better coffee roasters in Chicago is opening a second café and, using the tried and true realtors maxim "location, location, location," they picked a spot that's almost too good for them to fail.
Bridgeport Coffee Company announced they're opening a second storefront at the Roosevelt Collection in the South Loop sometime this summer. The space will be located next to the Showplace ICON multiplex and is surrounded by a slew of condos and other retail.
Location, location, location, indeed.
Chicagoist has long touted Bridgeport Coffee as one of the best small roasters in Chicago. Time Out Chicago named them the best coffeehouse in Chicago two years ago and theey recently expanded their seating area to accommodate the business they received as a result of that honor, and their amazing coffees and teas. Their coffees have been available in Chicago area Whole Foods stores, Dill Pickle Co-Op and fine independent coffeehouses across Chicago for some time.
Chicagoist emailed Bridgeport Coffee Company's Mike Pilkington for more information on the new space. If and when we receive a reply, we'll update this post.
