Last Minute Plans: Ag47's Annual Showcase
By Jon Graef in Arts & Entertainment on Apr 19, 2013 8:20PM
Ag47 is a self-described "artistic mentorship collective dedicated to providing opportunities for bold creative expression" through amplifying the creative voices of women and girls. Their annual showcase is tonight, April 19, at Hairpin Arts Center, 2800 N. Milwaukee Ave., from 7 to 10 p.m.
All proceeds go to fund future programming for the organization. According to the event's Facebook page, tonight's showcase will include everything from shadow puppets to superhero portraits, to performances, petri dishes and paintings. The theme of tonight's showcase is "infectious," to say the least on literal and figurative levels. (See what we did there?) Artwork is available for purchase, and the suggested donation is $10. Small price to pay to fund the future Chicagoistas of the world!
