We're fans of deranged mugshots but this one takes the cake by how normal the suspect looks. Richard Vody, of south suburban Justice, was charged with aggravated battery, domestic battery and home invasion over the weekend after he allegedly bit off part of another man's ear during a fight Friday morning.

Authorities responded to a domestic violence call around 8:45 a.m. and found Vody, the victim and the victim's girlfriend. Vody allegedly forced his way into the home of the couple and bit off half of the other man's right ear. The victim was taken to an area hospital by firefighters for treatment, and the missing part of his ear was discovered the following day by police dogs. (Is an ear able to be reattached to one's head a day after it was severed?)

Vody posted his $250,000 bond but what has us mesmerized is the "life is good" smile he has in his mugshot.
