Pastoral Artisan Producer Festival Is A Free Foodie Feast

2013_4_24_Pastoral_1.jpg We've profiled a lot of events lately; beer festivals, chowder festivals, bacon festivals and more. What do they all have in common? They cost money.

If your bank balance is looking a bit sparse, it should perk you up to hear that Pastoral's Artisan Producer Festival is fabulous, free and returning for a third year.

More then 80 artisan food producers, including cheesemakers, charcuterie producers, chocolatiers, brewers, distillers, wineries and more, will be gathering at the Chicago French Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, April 27.

In addition to the food shopping and samples, there are book signings, butchering and barbeque demonstrations, speeches and a class on how to mix the perfect tea for you to experience throughout the day.

Check out the whole schedule here and the full list of vendors here.

The French Market is at 131 N. Clinton St.
