In Pictures: Meet Brookfield Zoo's Sloth Bear Cubs

The Brookfield Zoo welcomed two sloth bear cubs in January, and the two made their public debut Wednesday. The male and female cubs have been in a maternity den with their 10-year-old mother Hani.

Sloth bears are native to India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan, and they eat bugs. One of its most intriguing behavioral traits is that a mother sloth bear carries her young on her back as a regular mode of family travel until the cubs are about a third her size.
