Sam Vicari Makes Our Hearts Explode

It seem like forever since Sam Vicari released his last album, but it appears his long gestating sophomore effort Heart Explosion is finally coming out this summer. Vicari is one of our favorite songwriters in Chicago, displaying a disarming mastery of melody, winsome lyrics and a delivery so catchy and sticky no amount of floss is dislodging it once it gets stuck in your head.
If you've seen Vicari play around town his album may catch you off guard. His stage show consists of one man and his electric guitar, and believe us when we say that is all his songs need. But when he records he rounds up a full band and the result is powerful enough to make you want to jump onstage and accompany him yourself every time you see him perfom.
