The city announced the restaurant lineup for this year's Taste of Chicago this morning and it's the same combination of local favorites, oddities and "I can't believe you're still in business" establishments that make up one of the festival's main complaints. But if you can get excited over Connie's Pizza, Gold Coast Dogs, the Cubby Bear and Ricobene's on 26th Street, start planning your itinerary.

As for our favorites, we're stoked to see Bobak's, Carbon Live Fire Mexican Grill, Smoke Daddy and Vee-Vee's African Restaurant on the list and, in our humble opinion, Original Rainbow Cone should be grandfathered into every Taste moving forward.

Tickets are also on sale for the "Chef du Jour" pop-up restaurants and the Petrillo Band Shell concerts for the July 10-14 festival.
