We can’t hide our love for Cole’s—this Logan Square dive has live music or stand-up comedy most nights of the week, admission is always free, and the bathroom graffiti provides an endless and ever-changing supply of reading material. Not to mention, the owner, Cole, is usually there behind the bar serving out drinks himself, and he’s a pretty cool guy.

So of course there’s going to be a big ol’ birthday bash in his name. It goes down this Saturday night and will feature every band that has members who work at Cole’s: The Sweats (Cole’s own band), The Runnies, Ragged Claws, Basketball, T'Bone, Foz the Hook, and Bionic Cavemen.

Like all the others at Cole's, this show is free. But drink up when you’re there, because 15% of the bar ring will be donated to the Center for Changing Lives, which serves the needy in Logan Square and Humboldt Park. There will also be a raffle if you choose to participate.

Cole’s birthday show is Saturday, June 8 at Cole’s, 2338 N Milwaukee, 7 p.m., free, 21+
