Changes In The Works For Glazed And Infused

The Bar Snack Donut at Glazed and Infused. This thing is ridiculous.

Glazed and Infused is one of the great food success stories of recent years. Staring from a window in a restaurant in Wicker Park, the chain now boasts four locations and is scouting spots in River North, Lakeview and Andersonville. Plus, they're changing their coffee in order to partner with a small, local producer.

G&I's donuts are all produced at a central location in the West Loop (take a look at their production kitchen here) and DNA Chicago reports that they are planning to open a new River North location at Hubbard and State. In addition, they are reportedly scouting locations in Lakeview and Andersonville. Soon, there won't be a neighborhood in the city without some high-quality donuts.

Until now, G&I has served Intelligentsia coffee - no more. They're partnering up with Bow Trussfor a revamped coffee program. General Manager James Gray explained the change to us.

We are a small company with focus on high quality and uniquness. Our coffee is the single most important piece next to our doughnuts and since we don't do it ourselves we wanted to work with another small company that was building its brand in Chicago.

Glazed and Infused will now have a signature blend of coffee made just for them and they will be introducing pour over coffee and espresso in the upcoming months.
