We’ve talked about Netherfriends and its 50 Songs 50 States project before, but there’s more news: Shawn Rosenblatt, the guy behind the solo psych-pop (throw a little R&B in there) project, is finally releasing the full batch of 50 Songs 50 States.

The project is a year-long endeavor that lasted from 2010-2011, in which Netherfriends wrote and recorded one song and gave a performance in each U.S. state. He’s been slowly releasing parts of the collection through a couple of albums, Middle America and Angry East Coast.

The first nine tracks from these albums, as well as three new ones, are available right now over at Netherfriends’ Bandcamp page. The remaining tracks will be released July 4, when Rosenblatt unleashes the whole shebang. If you’re a cartophile, feel free to check out this interactive map of Rosenblatt’s travels.

This release is good news and all, but Netherfriends’s distinguishing feature is live performance. For a guy who essentially just has to stand there and push buttons, Rosenblatt puts on an invigorating performance that makes you want to throw your bra in his general direction. You can catch him on stage when he plays The Burlington June 28—he’ll be releasing his hip-hop mixtape "New Chi-T” this night. He also performs at Cole’s July 5.

Additionally, Netherfriends will be releasing footage from his travels and other videos as the 50 Songs 50 States release date approaches. Here’s one for his Frankfort, KY, track:
