2013_06_22_divinanatura.jpeg 2013 is the Year of Italian Culture, and Chicago will host events like concerts, tastings, art exhibits, and more.

Divina Natura is a light and sound installation by artist Marco Nereo Rotelli that will turn the facade of the Field Museum into an illuminated manuscript. The event, held June 24 at 9:30 p.m., will project text from The Divine Comedy, Dante's 14th century poem, along with images, onto the Museum. Poets will read passages from The Divine Comedy in Spanish, English, Turkish, Greek, French, and other languages. The installation was specifically designed for the site and will interact with the building's classic architecture.

You don't have to head right to the Field to see it, either, since the installation will be visible from nearby streets, buildings, parks, and aircrafts.
