Is Chicago a snobby city? That's what Travel + Leisure magazine says. Our Town ranked seventh on the magazine's list of the snobbiest cities in America.

Travel + Leisure came to their conclusions by asking readers to rank major metropolitan areas across the nation by elitist markers both old (arts and culture, attractive locals) and new (tech-savviness, high-end retail shops, coffeehouses, etc.)

T+L writes Chicago's ranking is due to our architecture and theater scenes, although the magazine sticks its nose in the air slightly when it says "it’s hard to call the sketch work at Second City, or the improv at iO Chicago Theater, snooty." They did note that Chicago ranked tops in one great cultural equalizer: pizza.
