Avec
lovers, you can finally relax. After almost a decade of always-packed service, the restaurant finally announced that they will be beginning brunch service starting Sunday, July 21.

Avec famously doesn't take reservations, which can make the restaurant difficult to get into at busy times of the day. (Pro tip: 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. Trust us). They extended their Sunday hours back in May, but refused to call the new thing "Brunch." Now, it's official. They'll be open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Some of the new brunch dishes include:

- Torrejas (Spanish-style French toast) with fresh ricotta, cherries, almonds and mint
- wood-fired oven baked eggs with summer squash and corona beans, cooked in a traditional guanciale amatriciana sauce
- roasted hanger steak topped with a fried egg, and served with papas bravas

In addition, there will be a revolving selection of fresh danishes, pastries and "Dutch baby pancakes." Eater has a few more details from an interview they posted with new Chef Perry Hendrix.

Get in line now. Seriously. Bring a tent.

Avec is at 615 W. Randolph Street.
