Amanda Shires has come a long way from her early days with The Texas Playboys and has played with the likes of Todd Snider, Thrift Store Cowboys and Jason Isbell (who's also her husband). She also appeared in the film Country Strong as the fiddle player in Gwyneth Paltrow's band, but don't hold that against her.

Shires has an amazing new album out called Down Fell the Doves. Today's video is for "Ghostbird" off her previous album, Carrying Lightning.
