Music Video Of The Day: Punch Brothers 'Movement And Location'

By Chuck Sudo in Arts & Entertainment on Aug 13, 2013 10:30PM

Chris Thile is best known as one-third of bluegrass supergroup Nickel Creek and his career after that band went on hiatus includes winning a MacArthur Foundation genius grant and an amazing new album of Bach sonatas and partidas performed solely on mandolin. (It's only been out a week but, in my opinion, it's arguably the best album of the year.)

Thile's main musical outlet these days is the group Punch Brothers. Here's the video for their song "Movement and Location."

Chris Thile is part of The Goat Rodeo Sessions Aug. 18 at Ravinia with Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer and Stuart Duncan. Purchase tickets here.
