Insane Clown Posse said it will make good on its debts to vendors of the 2013 Gathering of the Juggalos after reports surfaced the rap duo’s record label either failed to pay money owed to vendors some bounced checks to others.

The Southern reports the bad checks written by Psychopathic Records total in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. One check, written as a donation to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office for protective vests, stun guns and other equipment was returned for non-sufficient funds. Hardin County Sheriff Jerry Fricker told the Detroit Free Press the amount of the check was “decent and that he “waited until the check cleared before I ordered anything.” Event-Tex, a vendor that specializes in power generation and distribution for concerts and events, said Psychopathic Records bounced a $54,000 check and issued a “provisional warning to other industry professionals.” Event-Tex owner Patrick Gail said “the total amount owed from our discussions with the vendors exceeds $300,000” and that his company had no issues with Psychopathic or its affiliates in the past.

Psychopathic records released a statement last Thursday saying “putting on a five-day music festival this ambitious is a very time consuming and expensive process” and that, as an independent festival, there is no corporate sponsorship underwriting the festival. You would think The Gathering would be a no-brainer for Faygo to get behind.

“The company putting on the event, Juggalo Gathering Inc., has no intention of turning its back on these financial obligations and is in the process of preparing a plan to take care of all vendors,” Psychopathic Records’ statement continued. No word on whether they’ll barter with their debtors in Faygo, clown makeup or sliced nipples.
