Chicagoist Weekend Theater: Celebrating Herb Kent

One of Chicago radio's greatest homegrown personalities celebrated a milestone Saturday. Herb Kent celebrated his 85th birthday. "The Cool Gent" started his broadcasting career in 1949, reached thousands of listeners at WVON, was credited with coining the term "dusties records," hold the Guinness World Record for longest serving DJ and still broadcasts weekends on WVAZ-FM.
