2013_10_7_FoodTruckRallyLogo2013.jpg Folks who work in the Loop and are tired of the same lunch spots will want to head to Daley Plaza Friday. The city is hosting a food truck rally from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., with both lunch and after work dining options in the middle of the city.

The participating food trucks are Bridgeport Pasty, The Fat Shallot, Jerk 312, The Salsa Truck, Beavers Coffee and Donuts, Porkchop, Chicago Cupcake and Chicago Lunchbox.

For those of you who like something stiffer than soft drinks with lunch or are getting the weekend started early, a designated tent will serve Goose Island beer and wine and will gladly take your money. Live entertainment will be provided by Mike & Lisa from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and DJ Lisa René will spin from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
