Keef (real name, Keith Cozart) agreed to undergo random drug testing when he pleaded guilty earlier this summer for speeding on the Edens expressway. Cozart was found to have marijuana in his system and will serve 20 days in jail. Cozart’s love of cannabis is well documented in media and with the law. He was arrested and charged last August with possession of marijuana in Miami Beach and was found smoking pot in an Atlanta hotel room in May. The drug charges are the least of Cozart’s worries.
He was ruled to be in contempt of court last month for failing to pay child support. Keef’s next court date in that case is Oct. 21 and, if he fails to appear again, he could have another warrant issued for his arrest. Keef has two paternity suits pending against him, was charged with trespassing at his former home in the Parkway Gardens housing complex June 17 and has already served time in jail for violating his probation on a gun conviction.
More alarming, now that Cozart is 18 he can now be charged with any future crimes as an adult and not be subject to the more lenient sentences of juvenile court. Here’s hoping someone in his camp is able to talk some sense into him.
