The Joffrey Ballet premieres their most recent work tonight at the Auditorium Theatre. La Bayadère: The Temple Dancer is set in India and is the story of a temple dancer and her lover. Of course these lovers are separated, which gives way to numerous scenes of beautiful dancing while longing for a lost love. The show also promises live snakes, something you don’t often expect when attending the ballet.

La Bayadère: The Temple Dancer premieres tonight and runs through Oct. 27. You can purchase tickets through the Joffrey Ballet website. The Auditorium Theatre is located at 50 E. Congress Parkway.
