Do This: Tokens And Tankards At Emporium Arcade Bar

The pairing of beer with arcade games continues at Emporium Arcade Bar from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Nov. 3 with “Tokens and Tankards.”

Chicago Loot Drop, a collective that brings together Chicago’s gamer and nerd communities by hosting events that raise money to buy toys and games for area hospitals, is organizing this event. The list of participating breweries is a who’s who of Chicago craft beer: Two Brothers Brewing Company; Haymarket Brewery; Revolution Brewing; Metropolitan Brewing; Atlas Brewing Company; Hopothesis Beer Company; Lake Effect Brewing Company; Solemn Oath Brewing; Off Color Brewing; and Flesk Brewing Company.

Each brewery will provide a beer that is specially and expertly paired by Emporium’s drinking and gaming experts. Attendees will be given 10 tickets. Each ticket is worth a 4 ounce pour of one of the paired beers. Attendees will also receive 10 tokens to use on one of the paired games. Proceeds from this 21+ event will help purchase books, toys, and games for kids at University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital, in partnership with the non-profit organization Child's Play.
