Kartemquin Films Seeks 'Diverse Voices In Docs' For 2014

Kartemquin Films, the Chicago-based documentary film studio behind essential classics of the art form such as Hoop Dreams and The Interrupters, is looking for applicants for its Diverse Voices In Docs program. The due date for applicants is Dec. 13th, 2013, before noon.

According to the Kartemquin Films website, the Diverse Voices In Docs program "is a professional development and mentorship program for emerging documentary filmmakers of color."

The program is organized by both Kartemquin Films and the Community Film Workshop of Chicago. Diverse Voices In Docs consists of six three-hour workshops held at the Community Film Workshop. Kartemquin Films’ staff will advise participants about their next documentary. The program will end with a final public exhibition.
