A sixth man was charged with September's Back-Of-The-Yards shooting, which left 13 people injured, including a three-year-old boy who was shot in the face.

According to multiple media outlets, Darren Curtis was arrested on Friday. Curtis was charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder and three counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, police said to media.

The shooting took place at Cornell Square Park, which is located in the city's Back-Of-The-Yards neighborhood. Per the Trib, here's what happened:

The attack happened about 10:15 p.m. [Sept. 19] when two men armed with an assault rifle and a .22-caliber handgun fired indiscriminately into a crowd at the Back of the Yards neighborhood park in the 1800 block of West 51st Street.

The three-year-old, Deonta Howard, was playing on the basketball court when a bullet struck him near the ear and exited through his cheek. Doctors have said Deonta did not suffer brain damage but will require plastic surgery.

Curtis is set to appear in court Sunday. According to NBC Chicago, the shooting was retaliation for "a minor graze" one suspected suffered in a gang quarrel that took place earlier.

A fifth suspect was charged last month.
