Thanks to a tip from Reddit, we can now witness the most poorly executed hit and run ever to exist in Chicago. After hitting a cab on Belmont Avenue the driver in this black SUV decides to bail. Except making a quick getaway on already congested Belmont Avenue isn’t an easy task to achieve.

After much back and forth wiggling, the cabbie attempts to stop the car and confront the driver. In maybe not the best choice (but an understandably frustrated one) on the cabbie's behalf, he beats on the car window with a blunt object. Panic and even more stupidity sets in and all hell breaks loose as the SUV makes the worst getaway possible. Skip to the 1:50 mark if you want the real action.

Spolier alert: the SUV goes bumper car style on innocent bystanders. And one of the last cars hit has a dealer sticker in the window, which is either the worst test drive ever or worst luck after buying a new vehicle. We are going to venture a guess that given the amount of time it took to bail, someone wrote down the license plate number.

All that's missing is "Yakety Sax" laid over the video.

Update: Now there is a Yakety Sax version of the incident. Thanks, "Lakeview LOL."

Update [1:50 p.m.]: DNAinfo Chicago has some additional information on this hit and run situation. They report that a source from the Town Hall Police District confirmed the SUV was stolen and the driver is now in custody for the accident. Apparently the SUV also caused more than $3,000 worth of damage to the cab alone.
