Englewood Neighborhood Choir To Make Public Debut Nov. 21

The Englewood Neighborhood Choir, the ninth neighborhood offshoot of the Chicago Children's Choir, will make its public debut Nov. 21 as part of the latter's first community concert of the 2013-2014 season. The Englewood Neighborhood Target Community Concert is free, open to the public, and starts at 7 p.m. at the Hamilton Park Cultural Center.

Chicago Children's Choir President and Artistic Director Josephine Lee said in a news release that the organization was "beyond thrilled to reveal what these talented children have to offer the Chicago community."

Comprised of 18 singers, ranging in age from 9-14, the Englewood Neighborhood Choir raised $100,000 last May at the annual "Paint To Town Red" concert, which was attended by Yo-Yo Ma and Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

The Nov. 21st performance will also include choirs In-School Choirs, DiMension, and Voice of Chicago. Here's video about the Englewood Neighborhood Choir:
