As the temperatures start to dip and the weather turns towards typical Chicago cold, many of us are more apt to head into the office swaddled in a blanket, hoodie or sweater and sweatpants combo. Whatever it takes to keep warm and comfortable. But one man is on a mission to convince Chicago that you do not have to sacrifice style for comfort, even on a budget. RedEye's Ernest Wilkins' four-year sartorial crusade NoDN (November of Dressing Nicely) is stronger than ever and includes a face-off for the rank of Best Dressed in Chicago.

Wilkins and RedEye have set up a well designed bracket to host a bevy of dapper looking men and women of Chicago facing off for the title. Today is the last day to vote for both your favorite men and women in round one. If you feel like causing an upset amongst the fashion inclined here is your chance to vote a stylish underdog forward.

In a world where many office environments are taking a more casual approach these days, we applaud Wilkins and the RedEye for throwing down the gauntlet and asking Chicagoans to step up their game. Putting in a little extra effort before you walk out the door makes you aware of just how fine you look, and who doesn’t enjoy a little boost of confidence? We also love that Wilkins offers up articles full of tips during the series, such as the basic essentials that should be in your closet and how to dress nicely on a budget. Fashion doesn’t have to equal money if you have a keen eye and are willing to seek out special pieces.

Head over to the RedEye today to vote for the first round of stylish candidates (women here, men here) and then check back for more articles on style and to continue voting throughout November.
