As rescue workers arrive to help Filipinos dig out of the wreckage left in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan more fundraisers are being scheduled to raise funds for what is shaping up to be an immense relief effort. One set for 9:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at Mary's Attic by friend of Chicagoist Shaun Sperling aims to raise funds for Direct Relief International. Sperling is working with Mary’s Attic, DJ Marc “Moose” Modor, Jeremy Bonsol and the Filipino American Network of Chicago to raise money for DRI, which is 99 percent efficient in directing ensuring all its funds go directly to the people who need it most.

The fundraiser will be in conjunction with a celebration of Lady Gaga's epic new CD Art Pop. DJ Moose will be spinning all of Gaga's past and current hits, remixes, mashups and rarities, along with a smattering of her influences like Grace Jones, Cher, Roisin Murphy, Bjork and much more. Special perfomances by Angel LeBare at 11 p.m., midnight, and 1 a.m. A $10 donation is suggested and grants you a complimentary beer or well drink. (5400 N. Clark St., above Hamburger Mary's.)
