Deck The Halls With 'Beer and Carols' at Maria's Dec. 12

After all, what fun is decking the halls without the consumption of a libation or two? That band of holiday spirit is alive and well with Bridgeport watering hole Maria's Packaged Goods and Community Bar, located at 960 W. 31st St.

They, along with First Lutheran Church of the Trinity, are throwing a cover-free "Beer and Carols" sing-a-along on Dec. 12 from 8 p.m. to midnight. According to an email Maria's sent out, "Santa and his friends will bring songbooks and Christmas cookies," while you bring your voices and any instruments lying about. This is shaping up to be a heck of a holiday hootenanny.

The email from Maria's also said the event would be held in a heated, enclosed back patio. If that doesn't warm your spirits, then Maria's selection of craft beers and specialty cocktails will. Flyer's below:
