With the holidays upon us, winter proposal season is starting to peak with Jared Jewelers commercials taking over every television screen. (Pro tip: never actually propose to your significant other at Kay Jewelers in a mall like that one awful commercial, ok?) Love is in the air and 'tis the season to step up your game and get creative if you plan on putting a ring on it. If you're going to spending the rest of your life together, make the kickoff at least memorable!

One Chicago resident did an ace job making a memorable moment for his new fiancee yesterday. Jason Lord proposed to his girlfriend of over three years, Jackie Prater, with a hole-in-one formula. He made it special, referenced a personal inside joke and enlisted the help of a favorite celebrity.

First off Lord and a group serenaded a stunned Prater with the smooth sounds of Mr. Big’s “To Be With You,” an inside joke between the couple after dueting on the song one night after they just started dating. The icing on the cake comes at the 5:30 mark, when actor Aaron Paul, best known for his Breaking Bad fame, appears on video to help ask Prater to spend the rest of her life with Lord. Of course the ecstatic and shocked Prater said yes. Cue the “aww.”

Lord won a personalized video from Paul after donating to his wife’s charity. He used it to surprise Jackie—Paul is her favorite actor—along with his backing band, a group of their closest friends.

Well done Jason, we applaud your creative (and very successful) thoughtful effort. Congrats to you and Jackie, and thanks to their friend Gina for sending us the sweet video documenting it.
